Bramble Cottage
Bramble Cottage is in Dalton, just outside Barrow. It's on its own bit of land, surrounded by fields. You get the whole garden and patio to yourself.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom is upstairs with its own shower room. The other two are on the ground floor, along with a second wet room shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern and comfortable inside.
The whole ground floor is open plan. Kitchen, living area, all one space. There's step-free access from the parking area into the cottage and out to the patio. The wet room on the ground floor has a shower seat. We don't have fixed handrails, but we can provide a removable ramp for the car park if you need one.
A thing to know: part of the land behind the cottage is used for farm machinery storage. There are diggers and things. They're behind a 6ft safety fence so you can't really see them from the garden. They won't be moved or used while you're here.
Facilities are straightforward. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. No pets.
Dalton itself has a few pubs, restaurants, and shops. The castle is worth a look. Ulverston is about ten minutes' drive. Good for a wander and a meal.
For days out, the southern Lakes are close. Lake Windermere is about twenty minutes. You can get the steam train from Haverthwaite up to Lakeside. Coniston and the Duddon Valley are within half an hour, and so is Sizergh Castle. If you fancy the coast, the beaches at places like Roanhead are just a few miles away.
