This is Bramble Cottage. It's in Dalton-in-Furness, which is outside the main Lake District tourist spots. It's on its own bit of land, private, with trees and fields around it.
The place sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. The owner's done it up himself over the years, and it runs on solar panels.
Downstairs is all open plan, living room and kitchen together. It's spacious. There's a wet room on the ground floor with a shower. The stairs are fine. Upstairs is the main bedroom with its own shower.
The cottage is set up for wheelchair access. Step-free access from outside onto the patio, and the main living area is all on one level. The wet room doesn't have grab rails, but we can provide a shower seat if you need one. There's also a ramp for the car park we can put out.
A thing to mention: the plot is used for storing farm machinery at the back. It's behind a 6ft safety fence, so you won't see it from the garden, and it won't be used while you're here.
Dalton itself has a few shops, pubs, and cafes. There's a castle. Ulverston is about ten minutes' drive for more choice.
For getting out, Lake Windermere is roughly 20 minutes by car. Walks are nearby, like the Old Man of Coniston or Black Combe. The South Lakes Safari Zoo is close. You can get the steam train from Haverthwaite up to Lakeside. Places like Holker Hall or Muncaster Castle are within half an hour.
Facilities: parking for a couple of cars on the drive. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
It can be booked with the cottage next door if you need space for more people.
