Oak Lodge
Oak Lodge is one of five lodges on a site in Lindal. It's detached and all on one floor. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, and two bathrooms with walk-in showers. It sleeps four.
It's got a 4 Star rating. The main thing is it's clean and modern. Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity, WiFi. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine.
Outside, you have your own patio and garden area with a hot tub. You can park two cars right by the lodge.
The site is quiet. There's a pub about a mile away that does food. The nearest shop is two miles, in Lindal. The coast is about four miles if you fancy the beach.
For getting out and about, you're in a good spot. Ulverston is five minutes by car. It's a proper market town with cobbled streets. It's also the start of the Cumbrian Way walking route. The South Lakes Safari Zoo is about ten minutes away, near Dalton.
You can be at the bottom of Lake Windermere in under twenty minutes. Newby Bridge has the Lakes Aquarium and boat trips. From there, it's easy to get to Bowness, Ambleside, or Coniston, all within half an hour.
Barrow-in-Furness is about fifteen minutes the other way if you need a bigger town with shops and a cinema.
You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed but it's not totally secure, so you'd need to keep an eye on them.
