Oak Lodge
Oak Lodge is in Lindal in Furness, on the edge of the Lake District. It's not right in the main bit, it's a bit quieter here, which some people prefer. You're about four miles from the coast.
The lodge sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both on the ground floor, and two bathrooms which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating so everything's in good order. The main room is open plan.
It's detached, so you've got your own space. There's a private terrace and a hot tub that looks out over the garden. Parking for two cars right outside.
For facilities, you've got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. All the bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
There's a pub and a restaurant about a mile away. The shop is a couple of miles. If you want a bigger town, Ulverston is five minutes in the car. It's a decent market place.
You're well placed for getting about. South Lakes Safari Zoo is ten minutes away if you've got kids. For the lake, Newby Bridge is about twenty minutes. You can get boat trips on Windermere from there, or visit the aquarium.
From here, you can drive into the main Lakes quite easily. Coniston, Ambleside, Bowness, they're all within half an hour. If you're walking, you're on the doorstep for the southern fells.
