Nell's Cottage is on our place, near Dalton in Furness. It's attached to our main house on one side and another holiday let on the other, but you've got your own private garden out the back. It's not overlooked.
It's a one bedroom place, so it sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently, so it's in good order.
The setting is the main thing. It's out in the fields, with a view over a trout lake. You can see the fells from there, like Scafell Pike and the Old Man of Coniston.
There's a shop and a pub about a mile and a half away. For a beach, Sandscale Haws is close by. It's a National Trust site. National Trust Sandscale Haws.
Coniston Water and Windermere are both within a half hour drive. The South Lakes Wild Animal Park is just down the road. The Duddon Valley is a good day out for a drive or a walk. Muncaster Castle is about thirty minutes away.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove, which is nice in the cooler months. The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. There are grab rails fitted in the bathroom.
