Cockleshell Cottage is in Haverigg. It's terraced, and it's right by the harbour. You can see the beach from the front.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well equipped. The stairs are steep and a bit narrow. That's just how it is.
You've got the pub and a restaurant about a minute's walk away. There's a shop about a mile and a half down the road.
The beach is sandy and huge. You can walk straight onto the Cumbrian Coastal Way from the door. The Hodbarrow RSPB reserve is just there if you like birdwatching. There's even cable water skiing in the harbour sometimes.
You can drive into the Lake District in about half an hour. Muncaster Castle, with its owl centre, is close by. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is a nice trip, too.
For facilities: there's parking right outside, a washing machine, dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
