Harbour Cottage
Harbour Cottage is in Haverigg, on the Cumbrian coast. It looks out over the river and harbour. There's a sandy beach a few minutes walk away.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
The stairs are a bit of a thing. They’re steep and narrow. They fit the cottage, but you need to be careful. If you've got a small child or someone with dodgy knees, just remember that.
The kitchen has the usual stuff and there's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's parking for one car.
The village is quiet. You've got a shop and a couple of pubs about a hundred yards away. They're handy. The one nearest the harbour does food.
From the cottage you can walk straight onto the beach or around the lagoon. They do water skiing on the lagoon in the summer. There's fishing and horse riding nearby. A bit further out there's a golf course.
The Lake District is about half an hour’s drive. The roads that way are quieter than the ones from the main tourist spots. So it’s a bit less crowded. Muncaster Castle and Gardens isn’t far either.
