Combe Cairn
Combe Cairn is on a quiet street in the old part of Millom in Cumbria. It's a semi-detached cottage.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well looked after and comfortable. The stairs are typical for a cottage, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.
There's a pub about a third of a mile away and a restaurant a quarter of a mile. The local shop is half a mile. They're all fine for what you need.
You can get straight out for walks from the door, along the coast or into the hills. Black Combe is right there. It's one of Wainwright's famous views and the summit cairn is visible from one of the bedrooms on a clear day. It's a good climb.
Within about half an hour you can drive to the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, or Muncaster Castle. The Ravenglass and Eskdale miniature railway is popular. You're also well placed for Coniston Water and the western Lake District fells.
For facilities, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. Parking is on site. There's a BBQ. No pets, sorry.
