Shore Meadow

Shore Meadow is in Silecroft. It's a semi-detached bungalow, so everything's on one level.

It sleeps four, in two double bedrooms. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. No steps to get in or between rooms, which is handy.

The beach is about a two minute walk. It's a huge sandy beach, good for walks or just sitting. The views from the cottage are good: west over the sea to the Isle of Man on a clear day, and east to Black Combe fell.

You've got a kitchen that opens onto a patio, a living room with a wood burner, and a separate dining room with doors to the garden. The garden is enclosed. There's parking for two cars.

There's a small shop about fifty yards away. The nearest pub is three-quarters of a mile.

If you want to walk, Black Combe is about two miles away. That's the start of the Lake District fells.

Within a half hour drive there's quite a bit. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway steam train. Muncaster Castle and its owl centre. The South Lakes Safari Zoo. The beach at Haverigg is popular for water sports.

The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. It's dog friendly.
