Court End Cottage

Court End Cottage is in Silecroft, which is a village right on the Cumbrian coast. It's detached and quiet. You get the whole garden, which is a good size. There's a patio area with a firepit and some decking further up.

The house sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs: one king with an en-suite toilet, and two twins. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower upstairs, and a shower room downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable. Everything works.

Downstairs, there's a living room with a fireplace and a separate sitting room with a TV. The kitchen is big enough for everyone to be in there. It has a wood burner. There's a utility room with a washer and dryer off it.

Silecroft itself is quiet. There's a pub in the village. For a bigger shop, you need to drive to Millom, about four miles away. The beach is half a mile down the road. It's sandy and safe. The sunsets from there are very good.

Locally, there's a 9-hole golf course in the village. There's a horse riding place at the top of the road that does beach rides. You can walk up Black Combe from here, the views from the top are extensive.

Within about half an hour's drive you can get to places like Eskdale for the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, or Coniston Water. Windermere is a bit further. Muncaster Castle, with its gardens and bird of prey displays, is also within easy reach.

In terms of facilities, it has pretty much everything: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, included bedding and towels. Parking for two cars on the drive. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
