The Lodge
The Lodge is near Newton in Cumbria, a few miles from the coast. It's a single storey building attached to my house. I live next door.
It sleeps two, in one bedroom with a kingsize bed. There's a sofa bed in the living area if you need it, but it's really best for two people. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. It's all on the ground floor and has a 4 Star rating.
You get your own private, enclosed garden with seating, a BBQ, and a hot tub. The garden looks out over our fields. We have about ten acres. You're welcome to walk in them. If you wanted to bring a horse, we could probably sort something out, just ask.
The nearest pub is about a mile away. It's a proper local. The nearest shop and restaurant are about four miles away in Ulverston.
You're well placed for getting about. It's about a twenty minute drive to Windermere or Coniston. Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness are about ten minutes away. The South Lakes Safari Zoo and Furness Abbey are a few miles down the road. The coast is about six miles away.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, parking, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. We have a cot and highchair if needed. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
