The Lodge is in Newton, which is countryside just outside of Barrow-in-Furness. It's a new build, separate from the main farmhouse where I live next door. You get your own space.
It's for two people, one bedroom with a kingsize bed. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. The main room is all open plan: kitchen, living area, and a sofa. That sofa is a sofa bed, so you could put a child or another adult on it in a pinch, but it's really meant for two. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and modern.
You have a private, enclosed garden area with a hot tub. There's a field view. We've got about ten acres here. If you wanted to bring a horse, we could sort that, just ask first.
The local pub is a mile away, it's decent. The nearest shop and restaurant are about four miles away in Dalton-in-Furness.
You're about a 20 minute drive to the bottom of the Lake District. Windermere and Coniston are that way. Ulverston is 10 minutes north, that's where the Buddhist centre is. South Lakes Safari Zoo is a couple of miles down the road. Furness Abbey is nearby too. The coast at Rampside is about six miles if you want a beach.
Facilities: there's parking right outside, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a BBQ in the garden. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
