Birch Lodge is one of five lodges on a site in Lindal, near Ulverston. It's detached. You get your own little terrace and a hot tub. It looks out over the garden they've done around the site.
It sleeps four, all on the ground floor. Two bedrooms: one double, one twin. Two bathrooms, both with walk-in showers. It's a 4 Star, so it's well equipped.
The lodge is open plan. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can park two cars right outside.
The site itself is quiet. There's a pub about a mile away that does food. The nearest shop is two miles, in Lindal.
For getting out, it's a good spot. Ulverston is five minutes in the car. It's a proper market town. You can start the Cumbrian Way walk from there. The South Lakes Safari Zoo is about ten minutes away.
You're on the edge of the Lakes but not in the middle of it. Coniston and Windermere are about half an hour's drive. If you want a boat trip, you go to Newby Bridge for the Lakes Aquarium and Windermere cruises. That's twenty minutes.
The coast is close. A beach like Roanhead is about four miles. Barrow-in-Furness is a short drive if you need a big supermarket or a cinema.
No pets allowed, I'm afraid. They have a cot and a highchair if you need them.
