Birch Lodge

Birch Lodge is one of five lodges here in Lindal. They're all exactly the same, so you'll know which one is yours. It's completely detached though, so you've got your own space.

It's all on one level, which is good if you don't fancy stairs. There's one double bedroom and one twin, and it sleeps four. Two bathrooms as well, both with walk-in showers. It's got a 4 Star rating, so everything is in good order.

You get your own hot tub on the terrace. It looks out over the landscaped grounds. Parking for two cars right outside.

There's a pub about a mile away for food. The shop is two miles, in Lindal. The coast is about four miles if you fancy a beach.

Ulverston is five minutes down the road. It's a proper market town with cobbled streets. That's where the start of the Cumbrian Way walk is. The South Lakes Safari Zoo is about ten minutes away, which is popular with families.

You're well placed for Windermere. It's about a twenty minute drive to Newby Bridge, where you can get on the lake cruises or visit the Lakes Aquarium. From there, you're in the National Park proper. Ambleside, Coniston, Bowness – they're all within half an hour or so if you want to be in the thick of it.

Barrow-in-Furness is the other way, about ten minutes. That's where you'll find the big supermarkets, cinema, that sort of thing.

Inside, it's open plan. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
