The Foldyard
The Foldyard is a barn conversion on what was our family farm. It's one of three cottages here, so there are neighbours, but you have your own private garden. The views are over fields.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable. Everything is on the ground floor. Underfloor heating keeps it warm.
You've got an open plan living area with a wood burner. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a smart TV. Outside, there's a wood-fired hot tub in your garden, plus a barbecue and seating.
You're welcome to walk around the shared grounds. There's a lake and a nature walk.
It's a working farm, so you'll see and hear farming activity during the day. Sometimes it's just tractors going past, other times there might be sheep in the nearby field.
The village of Cranswick is a short walk away. It has a shop and a couple of pubs. Driffield is about four miles for bigger supermarkets.
You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds for walking and cycling. Bridlington and the coast is about a twenty minute drive. RSPB Bempton Cliffs is good for sea birds. The historic towns of Beverley and York are both within an hour.
Facilities: The hot tub is wood-fired, so it takes a few hours to heat. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
