South Lodge is in Kelleythorpe, just outside Driffield. It's a detached cottage on its own. The house itself is quite old, from 1834, and it was done up a few years ago. It got a 5 Star rating, which means the quality is generally high.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. One room has a super king bed, the other has a zip and link, so it can be two singles or a king. They look out over the garden. The bathroom has a deep bath with a rainfall shower.
Downstairs, there's underfloor heating throughout. The kitchen is country style with a round table under some old beams. There's a utility room with a dishwasher. The living room has a wood burner and French doors that open straight into the garden.
The garden is good sized and wraps around. There's a wood-fired hot tub out there. You get your own parking on site.
It's a couple minutes' drive into Driffield, which is the local market town. It's got a few tea rooms, restaurants, and shops. There's a weekly market.
You're on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. Good for walking and cycling. Places like Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall are a short drive away for a day out. Beverley is about a twenty-minute drive and is nice for the Minster and its town centre. The coast at Bridlington is about half an hour.
For wider planning, the Yorkshire Wolds website has walking routes, and the National Trust has properties nearby like Castle Howard.
Facilities wise: there's WiFi, a TV, a cot if needed, and bedding and towels are included. Up to two dogs are welcome. There's bike storage if you bring them.
