The Granary is on Manor Farm, near a village called Cranswick. It's one of three cottages here. It's a barn conversion, so you get the high ceilings and beams. It's a 4 Star place. That means it's done to a good standard, new kitchen, things like that.
It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is useful. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and has level access to the garden. The shower in there is a walk-in. There are also grab rails in that bathroom.
The main living area is all open plan. Kitchen, dining table, sofas. There's a wood burner for colder nights. The windows look out over a pond and fields. It gets the sun.
Outside, there's a private garden with a barbecue. It has a wood-fired hot tub. You have to light it and wait for it to heat up, but it's nice once it's going. You can also walk around the shared grounds. There's a big pond and a nature walk.
The village of Cranswick is a short drive for basics. The market town of Driffield is about ten minutes away. You can get most things there.
For a day out, the coast at Bridlington or Filey is about half an hour's drive. The cliffs at Flamborough Head and the seabirds at Bempton are up there too. For walking, the Yorkshire Wolds are right on the doorstep. There are some good historic houses nearby, like Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere.
York and Beverley are both less than an hour away by car if you want a city day.
Practical stuff: it's got underfloor heating, WiFi, a washing machine and tumble dryer. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
