Pottles Cottage
Pottles Cottage is in Surlingham. It's on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. The cottage itself is next to our barn, but you get your own patio. You also get to use our big lawn garden, which looks out towards the river.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The master bedroom and shower room are on the ground floor, which is handy. The twin beds are up on a mezzanine level, so it's like a little sleeping gallery. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. The sofas are comfy and the kitchen has what you need.
If you have more people, there's a separate little place in the garden called Pottles Retreat that sleeps two. You can book both together.
The village pub is a short walk away, down by the river. They do good food. There's also a little café that does Portuguese pastries and lunches.
For getting out, you're right in the Broads. You can walk to the Ted Ellis Nature Reserve from the door. The Norfolk Wildlife Trust manages Surlingham Church Marsh nearby too, good for birdwatching. Whitlingham Country Park is about a 15 minute drive, they have a big lake and you can hire kayaks or paddleboards there.
Norwich is 15 minutes in the car for shopping or a day out. The coast, like Winterton or Sea Palling, is about a 40 minute drive for sandy beaches.
What's here: parking, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
