This is Gosling Barn. It’s in Thurton, Norfolk. It’s a separate bungalow next to our own house, but you have your own space and a private patio.
It’s for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s well finished and comfortable. Things like good bed linens are included.
The barn looks out over fields. It’s quiet. You hear the birds, and sometimes a horse goes by on the lane. The patio gets the sun in the evening.
There’s a vineyard about a five-minute walk away. You can do tours and tastings. For a bigger day out, Norwich is about eight miles. The market is good, and the National Trust has a few properties around there.
You’re right on the edge of the Broads. The village of Loddon is close, and Beccles is a short drive. Both are good for getting on the water if you want to hire a boat or canoe.
The coast is about a 40-minute drive. Southwold is one way, Winterton the other. You can often see seals at Horsey.
Facilities: there’s parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. We can put a cot and highchair in if you need them. No pets.
