The Cobbles is in Sticklynch, Somerset. It's a semi-detached barn conversion, one of two. It's in the countryside, so you get fields and quiet.
It sleeps six, in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. The conversion left some original features, like oak floors and doors. The haylofts are now galleried bedrooms, which means the ceilings can be sloping in places.
You get your own bit of patio. There's a larger lawned area out front that you share with the other cottage. The whole site is fenced in, so it's secure for dogs or kids.
The Monarchs Way footpath goes right past the front gate. You can walk from the door. For organised walks, the Mendip Hills National Landscape site is useful.
Glastonbury is a few miles away. You can walk up the Tor. The town has the abbey, the Chalice Well, and a high street with its own character. Wells with its cathedral is about 20 minutes by car. Clarks Village in Street for shopping is also about 20 minutes.
Further out, you've got Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, and the Fleet Air Museum at Yeovilton. They're all about half an hour's drive. Bath and Bristol are within an hour if you fancy a city trip.
The nearest shop is four miles. There's a pub and restaurant two miles away.
The facilities are what you'd expect: wifi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
For planning days out, National Trust Somerset and English Heritage Glastonbury Abbey might be helpful.
