The Barn is on our yard near Southwood. It's part of the stables, so you'll see our horses in the fields around you. It's quiet out here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower room. One has a double bed, the other has two singles. Everything's on one level, which is good if stairs are difficult. The front door is wide and flat, so wheelchair access is straightforward.
Inside, it's all open plan. The kitchen's at one end, then the living area with the sofa and TV. It's a simple, clean space.
There's a table and chairs outside the front door. It gets the sun in the afternoon. You can park right outside.
The local pub and a village shop are about half a mile down the road. For a bigger shop, Street or Glastonbury are ten minutes by car. Street has the Clarks Village outlet shops. Glastonbury's different, full of history and the Tor. It's a steep walk up there but the view is worth it.
You're well placed for day trips. Wells Cathedral and the city of Bath are both about forty minutes' drive. There are several National Trust properties nearby too, like Lyte's Cary Manor or Montacute House.
It has a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well equipped. You've got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and all your bedding and towels are provided. No pets, I'm afraid.
