The Snug South Barrow

The Snug is a one-bedroom barn conversion near South Barrow village in Somerset. It's all on the ground floor. It sleeps two.

The place is meant for being quiet and looking at fields. The views out back are over farmland. There's a small, enclosed garden for you. You can also walk around the owner's fields, about ten acres.

Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen, dining area and sitting area are all one room. There's a TV and WiFi. It's got a walk-in shower and the bathroom has underfloor heating, which is nice in winter. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

You're about five miles from Castle Cary and a bit further from Yeovil. The nearest shop, pub, and restaurant are nearly two miles away in the village, so you'll likely drive.

There's quite a lot to do nearby. Haynes Motor Museum and the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton are both about a ten-minute drive, if you're into cars or planes. Stourhead, which is a National Trust house and gardens, is stunning and about half an hour away. National Trust Stourhead.

Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Tor, and the Clarks Village outlet shopping are all within twenty to thirty minutes by car. The coast, like Lyme Regis, is just over half an hour's drive.

Practical things: It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance and has a seat in the shower. There's on-site parking. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a dishwasher and bicycle storage if you need it.
