The Snug is a single-storey barn conversion near South Barrow. It's on the edge of a village, between Castle Cary and Yeovil. The views are over fields. It's quiet.
It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable. It has underfloor heating in the bathroom. There's a wood burner in the main room for cosy evenings.
The layout is all on the ground floor, which is helpful. There's a walk-in shower. The doors are wheelchair accessible and there's a seat in the shower. Parking is right outside.
You have a private patio with a hot tub. It looks out over the countryside.
The owners have about ten acres of land you're allowed to walk around. That's quite nice if you don't want to get in the car straight away.
A shop and a pub are about a mile and three quarters away. The pub does food. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Castle Cary or Yeovil.
Local attractions are within a half hour drive. The Haynes Motor Museum is very close. So is the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton. For a historical house, Montacute House is nearby. Stourhead is a bit further, maybe 25 minutes.
You can get to Glastonbury Tor, Wells Cathedral, or the Clarks Village outlet in under thirty minutes. The coast at West Bay, which is part of the Jurassic Coast, is about a forty minute drive.
Facilities include a dishwasher, TV, Wi-Fi, and bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
