This is Plum Cottage in Castle Cary. It's in a terrace about a five minute walk from the town centre. The cottage is for three people, two bedrooms and one bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The garden is a good feature. It's tiered, so it's on different levels, and there's a summerhouse at the top. Gets the sun in the afternoon.
Inside, the stairs are cottage stairs. They're steep and a bit narrow. The bathroom has a roll-top bath with a shower over it.
The town centre is walkable. There's a Co-op, a few pubs that do food, and some independent shops. There's a park up the hill with a play area and from there you can get onto footpaths across the fields.
If you're driving, Haynes Motor Museum is about ten minutes away. Montacute House is about twenty minutes. Glastonbury Tor is half an hour, the views from the top are worth it. Yeovil and Shaftesbury are also within that thirty minute drive.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. There's a highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The entrance is step-free, but the rest of the cottage isn't wheelchair accessible due to the stairs.
