The Manor Lodge is in Ditcheat, in Somerset. It's a detached stone lodge. It's Grade II listed, which means the walls are thick and the windows are deep-set.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been finished to a high standard. There's underfloor heating downstairs. The stairs are a steep, narrow spiral. It's the original staircase and it's the only way up. Something to know if you have mobility issues or very small children.
The garden is enclosed, with a patio and a washing line. You look out over fields. The village pub is a few minutes' walk away. It's a proper local. There's also a small shop for basics.
You'll see racehorses from the local stables being exercised around the lanes most mornings. It's a working village, famous for cheese and horses.
For days out, Bruton is about ten minutes by car. That's where the Hauser & Wirth gallery is. The Newt in Somerset is maybe fifteen minutes. Cheddar Gorge is twenty minutes. Glastonbury Tor is about twenty-five. Wells and its cathedral are half an hour. Bath is around forty minutes if the traffic's alright.
Facilities: it's got a full kitchen with a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
