The Manor Lodge is in Ditcheat, a small village. It’s a detached cottage in the middle of the village.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It’s got a 5 Star rating. It’s been done up nicely. It’s a listed building, so there’s a spiral staircase to get to the bedrooms. It’s steep and narrow. You get used to it.
There’s a pub and a village shop you can walk to. The pub does food. It’s a working village, so you’ll see horses going out for their morning exercise around the lanes.
It’s good for walking or cycling straight from the door. If you want to drive out, The Newt in Somerset gardens are about 15 minutes away. Bruton is 20 minutes, that’s where the Hauser & Wirth gallery is. Cheddar Gorge is maybe 25 minutes. Glastonbury Tor is about half an hour.
For a bigger day out, Wells or Bath are both within about 40 minutes’ drive.
Facilities wise: there’s a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. No pets sorry.
