Pippin is my summer house in East Compton. It’s detached, so it’s just for you.
It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s well-equipped and kept to a high standard.
The main room has the kitchen, a sitting area, and a wood burner. It’s open plan with a high, beamed ceiling. The bedroom is off it, with an en-suite shower room. Everything’s on the ground floor.
Outside, you have your own garden. It's got a lawn and a seating area. There’s a hot tub out there which is just for guests at Pippin.
The property grounds are shared with a couple of other lets. There’s a tennis court you can use. There’s also a lake further down the land, which is a nice spot.
Shepton Mallet is a few minutes’ drive for shops and a supermarket. Glastonbury is about ten minutes away. The Tor is a good walk. The festival site at Worthy Farm is close by, but the cottage itself is quiet.
Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are both within half an hour. Bath is about 40 minutes if you fancy a day out there.
Facilities: There’s a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. No pets, I’m afraid.
