Marigold
It's called Marigold. It's near Thrupe here in Somerset, on the edge of the Mendip Hills. It's a barn conversion, done up recently.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor and each has its own bathroom. One of them is set up for wheelchair access. The rating is 4 Star, so it's a comfortable standard.
The main living space is open plan, with beams. There’s a wood burner on the wall for cooler evenings. Full glass doors open onto a small decked garden, which is enclosed. It’s not a huge garden, but it’s fine for sitting out. You’re welcome to use the BBQ.
The barn is on a private drive, so it’s quiet. It’s part of a small farm. There are some alpacas in the field next door. They’re friendly and will probably come over to say hello.
Shepton Mallet is about two miles away for shops. Wells is five miles. It’s a beautiful place, the cathedral is worth seeing. If you want to go into Bath without the parking hassle, the park and ride is about a ten minute drive from here.
The Royal Bath and West Showground is close by. If you’re coming for the Glastonbury Festival, it’s a convenient spot to stay.
For facilities, you’ve got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if needed. Sorry, no pets.
