Primrose is a converted barn in a small farm complex near Thrupe, Somerset. It's on a quiet lane off a private drive. You're in the countryside but Shepton Mallet is only two miles away for shops.
The barn sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom is en suite. It gets a 4 Star rating so the fixtures are modern and it's comfortable. Both bedrooms and the living space are all on the ground floor.
There's a proper garden that's enclosed, which is good if you've brought a dog or if kids are running about. It's decked at the back with a BBQ. Inside, it's open plan with the kitchen and living room together. There's a gas fire for cooler evenings.
The complex is small and private. There are a few other holiday barns here. We keep some alpacas in a field nearby. They are quite curious and will often come over.
For local days out, Wells is about five miles away. The cathedral is worth seeing. The National Trust site at Glastonbury Tor is nearby if you fancy a walk with a view. Bath is about thirty minutes by car; using the park and ride is easiest.
If you're coming for the Bath and West Show or Glastonbury Festival, the location is very handy. Both are within a ten minute drive.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking right by the barn. All the bedding and towels are provided. The place has WiFi and a washing machine.
