The Garden Flat is exactly what it says: a flat in the garden. It's attached to our old farmhouse, near the greenhouse. It's a studio, so it's one open room for everything: bed, living space, kitchen. It sleeps two.
The kitchen area is up six steep steps inside the room. That's just how it is. We've got the beams from the old barn.
It's on a quiet road with no through traffic. The garden is shared with us, but it's very peaceful and you're welcome to use it. You get a private patio area too.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean, warm, and has what you need, but it's not luxury. All bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and a TV.
You're on the edge of Pilton village. There's a village pub about half a mile away. The proper shops are in Shepton Mallet, about ten minutes by car.
The views are good. You can see Glastonbury Tor from here. You're between the Mendip Hills and Glastonbury itself, which is about a ten-minute drive. Wells is very close, maybe fifteen minutes. For a bigger day out, Bath, Bristol, Cheddar Gorge, and the coast are all within an hour's drive.
There's parking right outside the flat.
