Applebarn is over in West Pennard, Somerset. It's one of four old farm buildings we've converted. They're all separate from each other.
It sleeps four adults. There are two bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. You can bring one dog. The rating is 4 Star, so it's a bit nicer than your average cottage, but it's not over the top.
Downstairs is all open plan. Upstairs, the main beds are for adults, but there are also bunk beds for a couple of kids. The bunks aren't meant for grown-ups.
You get your own hot tub in a walled garden area. I should say, you can see the other properties from the garden, so it's not totally private. The hot tub is emptied and cleaned between guests, so it might not be fully up to temperature when you first arrive.
There's a tennis court on site that all four properties share.
The local pub that does food is about half a mile away. The shop is a bit further, about two and a half miles. Glastonbury is three and a half miles from here. You can see the Tor from some of the other properties on site, but not from Applebarn itself.
Useful links for planning: National Trust Somerset, and for Glastonbury Tor and Abbey, English Heritage.
Wells is about a 15 minute drive. You've got the cathedral and the Bishop's Palace there. Bath is around 45 minutes away. The coast is about 20 miles.
It's a good spot for walking. The farm is quiet and you're surrounded by footpaths.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
