Russet Lodge

Russet Lodge is a safari-style cabin on a small glamping site in Coxbridge. It's on the Somerset Levels, about ten minutes by car from Glastonbury.

There are four of these lodges in a field. You get your own one. It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's all open plan inside, with a wood burner. The main bed has a fancy headboard. There's a proper shower, not just a camping one.

Outside your lodge, there's a private veranda with a cast iron barbecue.

The site has shared spaces too. There's a games room with a pool table and table tennis. In the orchard area, there's a wood-fired pizza oven and a fire pit you can use. They provide some bicycles if you want to cycle around the flat lanes.

You can bring up to two dogs.

For things to do, Glastonbury is close. The Tor is a steep walk with great views. The town itself is interesting if you like that sort of thing. Wells and its cathedral are about twenty minutes away. Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills are within half an hour if you want caves or hills.
