Bee Cottage
This is Bee Cottage in East Lydford. It's a small place, just a couple of houses really, between Somerton and Castle Cary.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one twin and one double, and a bathroom with a shower. Everything's on one floor, no stairs at all. We had it all redone in 2021 so it's in good nick. The main room is open plan, kitchen at one end, living area at the other. There's a wood burner. It heats the place up nicely.
You can park one car right outside. There's a lawned garden area just over the lane, which is yours to use. It's got a washing machine, WiFi, all the bedding and towels are here. I'll leave some tea, coffee, milk and that for you.
There's a decent pub about a fifteen minute walk away. They do food. You can walk for miles straight from the door, down by the River Brue.
If you drive, Clarks Village outlet is about half an hour. Glastonbury Tor is roughly the same. There are a few National Trust places nearby too, like Lytes Cary Manor. Bath is under an hour. The coast at Burnham-on-Sea is also about an hour's drive.
