The Retreat At Deer Park Farm
The Retreat is a wooden lodge on our farm in Babcary. It's in about 120 acres of private woodland, so it's quiet. You're basically in the middle of a wood.
It sleeps six, but it's in two separate buildings. The main lodge has the kitchen, living area and one bedroom with its own bathroom. About twenty steps away there's a second lodge with the other two bedrooms, and they both have their own bathrooms too. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable. Everything's on one level.
The garden is enclosed. There's a hot tub on the decking. You can see the woods from it. We allow one dog, strictly just the one.
The local village pub is a mile and a half walk down the lane. It does food. The nearest shop is about three miles away in Sparkford.
You're in a good spot for getting out. The Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is ten minutes by car. Wells is about half an hour, and the Cathedral is worth seeing. Glastonbury Tor is a similar drive. Cheddar Gorge is about forty minutes. If you fancy a longer trip, Bath is just over an hour.
What's here: Wifi, TV, a washing machine, dishwasher. There's a BBQ. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. Plenty of parking right outside.
