Alpine is a lodge at Viaduct Fisheries just outside Somerton. It's detached. You get your own decking area outside. The view is of the lakes. It changes with the weather, which is nice.
It sleeps four. Two twin bedrooms and one shower room. The layout is all open plan downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's underfloor heating, which is good in the winter. There's a dishwasher and a decent fridge-freezer.
It's a fishing place. Your stay includes free fishing on the lakes if you want it. If you don't fish, it's still a quiet spot. You can sit and watch.
Somerton has shops and a couple of pubs. They're about three quarters of a mile down the road. Street is ten minutes away by car for the Clarks Village outlet shops.
Glastonbury is about twenty minutes away. The Tor is a good walk. The views from the top are worth it. Langport and the River Parrett are close for walks on the Levels. The coast is at least forty-five minutes drive, so it's more of a countryside than a seaside base.
Inside, it's got satellite TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets.
