The Tack Room
The Tack Room is on the edge of Thorney, near Langport in Somerset. It's a conversion from part of an old farm building, so it's a single, open-plan space upstairs and down. You're on your own here, it's not attached to the main house.
It's for two people. One bedroom area, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after, but it's not huge. The stairs up to the living area are a ship's ladder. They're fine if you're steady on your feet, but they're not for everyone.
Outside, there's a private, enclosed patio with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the evening. You can see fields from there.
The facilities cover what you need. There's a dishwasher, a TV, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's also a shed for storing bikes if you bring them.
The location is quiet and rural. You can walk straight out into the lanes and fields. The River Parrett is nearby if you fancy some local fishing.
For a day out, Glastonbury Tor is about 20 minutes' drive. Wells and the Cathedral are maybe half an hour. The Somerset Levels are all around you for walking and birdwatching. Further afield, you've got the coast at Burnham-on-Sea, or the Mendip Hills, both within about 40 minutes.
