Hollies Cottage 3
Hollies Cottage 3 is a modern one on a small development of other holiday cottages, just outside Martock. You're basically in the countryside, but it's an easy walk to a pub.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower rooms. It's a 5 Star place, so everything's new and works properly. It's very clean and uncluttered.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. You're allowed one pet. There's parking right outside the front door.
It’s very well connected inside, with good wifi and a big TV. Bedding and towels are all provided.
The Hollies Hotel is a couple of minutes' walk away. Their bar is open to non-residents, or you can book a table for a meal. You can also use their gym and borrow their bikes.
Martock village is about a mile. It's a nice looking place, built from that local honey-coloured stone. There's a few shops and cafes there. For a bigger supermarket, you'd drive to Yeovil. That's about quarter of an hour away.
There are some excellent National Trust houses nearby. Montacute House is probably the most famous, it's a proper Elizabethan mansion. Barrington Court and Lytes Cary Manor are also within easy reach.
The coast at Lyme Regis is about 45 minutes. Glastonbury and Wells are also under an hour's drive if you fancy a day out.
