Midelney Music Room
Midelney Music Room is on our farm, Midelney Farm, near Langport. It’s about two miles from the town. It's one of the older buildings here, part of the hamlet.
It sleeps two, one bedroom upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's full of character because it's old, but that means some things are a bit unusual. The stairs to the bedroom are steep. The kitchen sink and living area are downstairs, but the fridge-freezer and microwave are in a little recess by the front door. It just worked out that way when we restored it.
There's a wood burner in the main room. It heats the place up well. Outside is a private courtyard garden with a water feature. It's enclosed.
You’re right on the Somerset Levels here. There are walks from the door, including the Parrett Trail. A pub is about a mile away. Langport has shops and a few places to eat.
Muchelney Abbey, which is English Heritage, is very close. For National Trust places, Barrington Court and Lytes Cary Manor aren't far. There's a pay-and-play golf course in Long Sutton, about ten minutes by car. Glastonbury Tor is maybe 20 minutes away. The coast at Bridgwater Bay is about half an hour.
For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
