This is Midelney Music Room. It's on our farm, Midelney Farm, near Langport. It's part of an old hamlet, so it's quiet. The building is historic, over 500 years old. It's been restored, but it's not a modern new-build. It feels its age, in a good way.
It's for two people, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, but historical buildings come with quirks. The stairs to the bedroom are steep. They're original. You need to be careful on them.
Downstairs is one open room with flagstone floors and beams. There's a wood burner. The kitchen area is built-in. The fridge and microwave are in a recess off the entrance hall, just a few steps away. Upstairs, the bedroom has a kingsize bed and lots of storage shelves.
Outside, there's a private courtyard garden with a water feature. It's enclosed. You can sit out there.
The farm is in the Somerset Levels. There are walks right from the door, including the Parrett Trail. A local pub is about a mile away. Langport is two miles for shops and cafes.
For days out, Muchelney Abbey is very close. National Trust places like Barrington Court and Lytes Cary are within a 30 minute drive. There's a pay-and-play golf course in Long Sutton, about 10 minutes away.
Facilities: parking here, WiFi, TV, washing machine, towels and bedding included. You can bring one dog.
