Hollies Cottage 14
This is Hollies Cottage 14. It's one of a few cottages and coach houses on the same site near Martock. They're all modern inside, quite sleek.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and both bedrooms have their own bathroom with a shower. That's handy. The rating is 5 Star, so it's finished to a high standard. Everything is clean and works properly. There's a 50-inch TV and the wifi is fibre optic, so it's decent.
The cottage is part of the Hollies Hotel estate. You're about 300 yards from the hotel itself. You can use their gym and borrow their bikes. You can also pop over for a meal or a drink without having to drive, which is easy.
Martock village is under a mile away. It's got nice Ham stone buildings and a few shops and cafes. For a bigger supermarket, Yeovil is about a 15 minute drive.
There are a few National Trust houses nearby if that's your sort of thing. Montacute House and Barrington Court are both within half an hour. Useful link for planning: National Trust Somerset.
As for the place itself, it's open plan downstairs. There's a patio area that's enclosed, so it's private. Parking is right outside. All the bedding and towels are included.
No pets allowed, I'm afraid.
