The Milking Shed

The Milking Shed is near Thorney in Somerset. It's a converted farm building, so it's single storey. You've got your own bit out the front. It's quiet and looks over the farmyard.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well kept. The main bedroom has a double bed and the other has twins.

You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, so they can't wander off. We ask that they stay off the furniture.

Inside, it's all on the ground floor. There's a TV, WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.

The location is rural. It's for people who want to be away from things. There's a pub in Thorney, about a mile's walk down the lane. For shops, you'd drive to Langport or Somerton, which are about ten minutes away.

Glastonbury Tor is a twenty minute drive. Wells and the cathedral are about half an hour. The coast at Burnham-on-Sea is roughly forty minutes. If you like walking, the Somerset West Countryside area has good routes. National Trust Somerset has places like Stourhead and Montacute House within reach.

The listing mentions local fishing. There are a few spots on the River Parrett and other waterways. You'd need your own gear and a licence.
