It's called Lavender. It's one of the lakeside lodges at Viaduct Fisheries in Somerton. It is detached, so you're not sharing any walls.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two shower rooms. Everything is on one level, no stairs at all. It has a 4 Star rating. It's modern and comfortable. The big thing is the view. The living area is open plan and looks straight out over the lakes. It changes with the weather, which is nice.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a big fridge-freezer. There's a TV and WiFi. Heating is gas central. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
You get free fishing on the lakes if that's your thing. If it's not, it's just a very peaceful spot to look at.
Somerton itself is a small town. There's a shop and a couple of pubs about three quarters of a mile away. For more shops, Street is about a ten minute drive. They have the Clarks Village outlet there.
Glastonbury is 20 minutes away. You can walk up the Tor if you want a view. The Somerset Council site has walking info. The Somerset Levels are all around here for walks and birdwatching. Langport is close, on the River Parrett.
The coast is about an hour's drive, if you fancy a day out. Wells and its cathedral are within half an hour. So is the National Trust's South West portfolio, which includes places like Stourhead.
Facilities are all listed. No pets, I'm afraid.
