The Old Post House is in Walton on the edge of Street in Somerset. It's a two bedroom cottage that sleeps four.
We finished renovating it properly in 2023, so everything's new and works as it should. The main room downstairs is all open plan. Kitchen at one end, dining area in the middle, living space at the other. It's a good size.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms and one bathroom. The bathroom is a 'Jack and Jill' style, which means it has doors to both bedrooms. So it's en-suite to both rooms. The main bedroom has a zip and link bed, so it can be a super king or two singles.
The stairs are cottage stairs. A bit steeper than modern ones. Fine for most, but something to be aware of.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a pub about five minutes walk away that does food and is dog friendly. The countryside starts pretty much from the door, so you can go straight out for a walk.
Street is right there, with the Clarks Village outlet shopping. Glastonbury is about ten minutes drive. You've got the Tor and the Abbey. Wells, the small city, is about fifteen minutes away. The cathedral is worth seeing.
Further out, you can get to Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole in under half an hour. Bath is about 45 minutes if you fancy a day out there.
Facilities: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels are included. The heating and electricity are part of the rental. It's a 4 Star grading.
