Orchard Barn
This is Orchard Barn, in Oxenpill. It's a single-storey converted barn on our land, off the main road, so it's quiet. It's a detached, new conversion and it's a five star place, which means it's well equipped and finished to a high standard.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and each has its own shower room. Everything is on one level. The living space is open plan. There's a wood burner for chilly evenings, and underfloor heating. The French doors open out to a private patio that looks over a field.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the gravel right outside.
A shop and a pub are about half a mile down the road in Meare. The area is flat, which makes for easy walking. There are some good nature reserves close by for birdwatching. RSPB Ham Wall is one.
Glastonbury is about ten minutes' drive. You've got the Tor and the Abbey, plus all the shops there. Wells is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes. The Cathedral is worth seeing. Cheddar Gorge and its caves are about half an hour away.
If you want to go further afield, Bristol, Bath and the Somerset coast are all within an hour's drive.
