This is Townsend Pod. Up until a few years ago, it was a cow shed. It's a one-storey conversion. Sleeps two, one bedroom and bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating.
The big feature is the main room. It's open plan, kitchen, dining and sitting area all together. It's very light because of the full length windows. It's got a wood burner if you want to light it. There's a separate little seating area out the front, by the shared path.
The garden is shared with the cottage next door, which is called The Stable. It's enclosed and lawned. There's a barbecue and some sun loungers.
The village is quiet. There's a pub about 200 yards away. It serves food and is quite popular. There's a 13th century church here too. The nearest shop is about two miles away, so you might want to bring some basics.
For walking, it's a good base. The RSPB Ham Wall is nearby. The Mendip Hills and Quantocks are within a half hour drive. Somerset Wildlife Trust has a few reserves around here too.
If you're sightseeing, Glastonbury with its Tor and Abbey is about twenty minutes away. Wells with the cathedral is roughly twenty-five minutes. Cheddar Gorge is a similar drive. Bath is a bit further, maybe forty-five minutes to an hour.
Inside there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. No pets.
