The Stable is in Moorlinch, a small village in the Somerset Levels. It's a two-floor cottage for two people. There's one bedroom upstairs and the living area is downstairs.
It's a 4 Star property. That means it's comfortable and well-finished, but not a show home. It feels more traditional than the other cottage here. The bedroom window has a nice view over the fields.
There's a pub about 200 yards away, around the corner. They do food. The nearest shop is in Ashcott, two miles away. The garden is shared with the other cottage, Townsend Pod. It's enclosed, with a lawn and a barbecue. The two places can be booked together if you're a group of four.
It's a good spot for walks. You're close to the Ham Wall nature reserve, which is great for birdwatching. The Mendip Hills and the Quantocks are both about a twenty minute drive if you want proper hills.
Glastonbury is ten miles. You can see the Tor from miles around. Wells is about eight miles, with the cathedral and the Bishop's Palace. Bath is further, maybe forty minutes by car. For a day out, the coast at Burnham-on-Sea is roughly twenty-five minutes away.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking right outside. Bedding and towels are provided. The heating is electric, and there's an electric stove that looks like a wood burner in the living room.
