Walnut Lodge is in Upper Coxley. It's a detached lodge, built by hand and finished in 2022. It's for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over fields to Glastonbury Tor. The French doors open onto a covered veranda with a bistro set, then there's a lawned garden with another seating area and a firepit. It's very quiet at night, good for stargazing.
Inside, it's all open plan. Kitchen area with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge with an icebox. Then the sitting area with the doors. The kingsize bed is in an alcove off the main room. The shower is a good size. Everything is on one level.
Glastonbury is about three miles away. It's an unusual place, lots of independent shops. The Tor is a steep walk but the views from the top are worth it. Wells is England's smallest city, about the same distance the other way. The cathedral is the main thing there.
Within half an hour you've got a few options. Cheddar Gorge and the caves at Wookey Hole are closest. Clarks Village in Street is for shopping. Further afield, you can get to the coast at Burnham-on-Sea or the edge of the Mendip Hills.
Facilities: there's WiFi, parking right outside, bedding and towels are included. The garden is yours. No pets.
