Walnut Lodge
Walnut Lodge is near Glastonbury, in Upper Coxley. It's a detached lodge I built by hand and finished it in 2022. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's a 4 star place.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over fields to Glastonbury Tor. The French doors open onto a covered veranda, then there's a lawn with a firepit. It's very dark at night here, good for seeing stars.
Inside, it's all one open plan room. There's a kitchen area with an electric hob and oven, a microwave, and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. The shower room is off to the side. The bed is a kingsize.
The stairs to the mezzanine bedroom are a ship's ladder. They're sturdy, but they are steep. You need to be okay with that.
Glastonbury is about ten minutes by car. Wells, the small city with the cathedral, is about the same. Clarks Village in Street is close for shopping. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole caves are within a half hour drive.
You've got your own parking. The garden is private. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi. No pets.
