Poplar Farm Cottage is in Westbury sub Mendip, a village in Somerset. It's an old place, it's been there about 400 years. You can walk to the village shop and the pub, they’re just down the lane.
The cottage sleeps five. There are three bedrooms upstairs: a double, a room with two single beds, and a single room. There’s one bathroom upstairs with a shower over the bath. Downstairs there’s a living room with a wood burner and a kitchen with a table. The kitchen has what you’d need.
Outside there’s an enclosed garden, it’s a decent size. It’s lawned. Because it's out in the Mendips, there’s not much light pollution. It's a Dark Skies area, so on a clear night you can see the stars.
The stairs are a bit steep, as you’d expect in an old cottage. It’s got a 4 Star rating.
From the door you can walk straight out into the Mendip Hills. Cheddar is about ten minutes away by car, you can see the gorge and the caves. Wells is about the same drive the other way. It’s a small city, the cathedral is the main thing. Glastonbury is maybe 20 minutes away.
If you fancy a day out, Bath is under an hour’s drive. The Roman Baths are there. Weston-super-Mare is the nearest proper seaside, that’s about 45 minutes.
In terms of what’s here: there’s parking, WiFi, a TV, that wood burner, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
