This is our place, Mendip. It's up at Bradley Cross, high in the Mendips. You're a few miles from Cheddar Gorge. It's a converted barn, so the walls are thick and the beams are low in places. It's quiet up here.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and everything works.
The farm around it is a proper working farm. They've got pygmy goats, alpacas, guinea pigs. You'll see them. Badgers and deer come through the fields too sometimes. The kids' play area is basic, just a bit of space for them to run around safely.
For getting out, you're right in it. You can walk straight out from the door onto the hills. For a proper day out, Cheddar Gorge is obviously the big one. Wells is about twenty minutes away, the cathedral is worth seeing. Glastonbury Tor is a similar drive. Montacute House is a bit further.
The coast at Weston-super-Mare is about forty minutes if you fancy that. Exmoor is under an hour's drive for a different kind of walk.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
