Strawberry Lodge

Strawberry Lodge is near Cheddar in Somerset. It's detached, sits at the end of the grounds here, and looks out over a field towards the Gorge.

It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. Being single-storey, there are no stairs to worry about.

The place is open plan. There's a wood burning stove, which is nice in the cooler months. You've got a patio area outside. Bedding and towels are included, and there's a washing machine and parking.

You can bring up to two dogs. There's a highchair and a cot if you need them.

Cheddar village is about a mile away. There are shops, pubs, and the obvious attraction of the Gorge itself. It's good for a walk. The National Trust page has details. Wookey Hole caves are about ten minutes by car.

Wells is maybe twenty minutes drive. The cathedral is worth seeing. Glastonbury Tor is about half an hour away. For a day at the coast, Burnham-on-Sea or Weston-super-Mare are within thirty minutes. Bristol and Bath are both under an hour if you fancy a city trip.
