Challey's Cottage
Challey's Cottage is on a farm near Winscombe. It's part of a group of four cottages. It's very quiet here. You'll see a lot of wildlife.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is fine. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. The farm is still working, so you might hear tractors sometimes. That's just how it is.
You get your own patio and garden space. Inside, there's a woodburning stove. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. We've got WiFi, but it's a farm so it can be slow. There's parking right outside the cottage.
The farm is in the Mendip Hills, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For walking, the Cheddar Gorge is about ten minutes away by car. Blagdon Lake is close too, if you like birdwatching.
The village shop and a pub are two miles away. Winscombe itself has a couple of shops. Weston-super-Mare and its beach are about seven miles. Bristol Airport is a fifteen minute drive, so you might hear a plane now and then.
For a day out, Wells is lovely. Bath is about forty minutes' drive. If you have children, there's a games room in the shared barn with a pool table and table tennis. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
