This is Meadow View. It's one of the studio apartments in our place, the Old Strawberry Barn. The barn itself is from 1708 but these studios are new, built into the old farm buildings. It's on the edge of Cheddar, about a ten minute walk to the Gorge.
It sleeps two people. One room, with the bed in the main living area, and one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. The kitchenette is small but it has a proper oven and hob, a fridge, and a breakfast bar. There's a smart TV and the WiFi works fine.
Meadow View is on the ground floor. The doors open straight out into our walled garden, which is just for you and the guests from Orchard View next door. Beyond that is our orchard where you can sit. The view from the studio looks out over the fields towards Cheddar Reservoir and you can see Glastonbury Tor in the distance.
You can bring one dog. We've got three of our own and they're friendly, and the lower garden is shared, so it might not suit a nervous dog. There's a gated driveway for parking and we've got bicycle storage.
You really can leave the car here. It's two or three minutes walk to the foot of the Mendip Hills for walking. The Strawberry Line cycle path is just down the lane. You can walk into Cheddar for the shops and pubs, and the Gorge is close. The reservoir is five minutes away for a circular walk.
If you do drive, Glastonbury is about twenty minutes. The coast at Weston-super-Mare or Burnham-on-Sea is maybe half an hour. There are golf courses at Wedmore and Mendip Springs nearby.
What's here: bedding and towels are included, there's a BBQ you can use, on-site parking, and the garden. We don't charge extra for electricity.
