Ramscliff Cottage
Ramscliff Cottage is a converted barn, up in the Mendip Hills near Bradley Cross. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable.
The place is quite remote. You're three miles from the nearest shop or pub, which is in Cheddar. The cottage itself is on a farm. There are some animals here: pygmy goats, alpacas, guinea pigs.
Because you're on a farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you get wildlife. We see badgers and deer around. The views are good.
For walking, you can start right from the door. There are trails across the hills. Cheddar Gorge is very close if you want a proper steep walk. You can drive down into Cheddar village to see the caves.
Within half an hour's drive you've got Wells, which is a small city with a famous cathedral. Glastonbury and the Tor are about twenty minutes away. The coast at Weston-super-Mare is a bit further, maybe forty minutes.
If you want to go further afield, Bath is about fifty minutes by car. Exmoor is within reach for a day out.
For facilities: it's a bungalow, so no stairs. There's a washing machine, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's a play area for children. We accept up to two pets.
