Wookey Hole - The Stables
Wookey Hole Stables is a converted stable block on the edge of the village. It's on our property, but it's completely separate and private. There's a decent amount of garden space all to yourselves.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which just means it's kept to a good standard. It's designed to be accessible for wheelchairs, hence the grab rails and walk-in shower. The access is level and the doorways are wide.
The village itself is mostly famous for the Wookey Hole caves. They're right there. For a walk, you can pick up the Mendip Way or the Monarch's Way from the door. There's a pub about five minutes walk away that does food.
Wells is the nearest proper town, about two miles. It's got supermarkets, a cathedral, and a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Glastonbury Tor is about five miles away if you want that view. The town itself has all the usual Glastonbury things.
If you're into outdoor stuff, there's a lot of it around here. Caving, obviously. Mountain biking on the Mendips. That kind of thing.
Facilities are all there. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is allowed. Parking is on site.
