The Threshing Barn
The Threshing Barn is near Westbury sub Mendip, on our farm. It's a detached, single-storey conversion. We call it 'upside down' because you go upstairs to the living area. That's so you get the view from the main room.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and clean. Being on a farm, you'll hear tractors and animals sometimes. That's just how it is.
You look out over our orchard and fields towards the Mendip Hills. The garden area is yours to use. It's a good spot to sit.
There's a shop and a pub about half a mile down the lane. Decent for basics and a meal. For a bigger shop, Wells is about four miles away. The cathedral is worth seeing.
You can walk straight onto the footpaths from the gate. The Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is right next to us. Good for walking and cycling. The Somerset Levels are a short drive for birdwatching.
Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are within twenty minutes. Glastonbury Tor is about half an hour. Bath is around forty minutes' drive if you fancy a city day out. Weston-super-Mare's beaches are roughly forty minutes away.
Inside, it's open plan upstairs. There's a TV, WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside. No pets, sorry.
