The Threshing Barn
The Threshing Barn is on our farm in Westbury sub Mendip. It's a detached barn, so you won't have anyone next door. The living area is upstairs, what they call an upside-down layout. That's so you get the best of the view over the orchard and fields.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not just a basic shell. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher, which is handy.
You're on a working farm. You'll see us going about, and you'll hear the animals. The garden area is yours, and it backs onto the orchard.
For a pint or supplies, the village shop and pub are about half a mile down the lane. The walking is good right from the gate, and you're next to the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Somerset Levels aren't far if you like birdwatching.
Wells is about ten minutes by car. You've got the cathedral and the market. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are within a twenty minute drive. Glastonbury Tor is maybe twenty-five minutes. Bath is further, about forty-five minutes to an hour depending on traffic.
In terms of what's here, it's all listed. The parking is right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
