Hollies Cottage

Hollies Cottage is in Draycott. It's a one-bedroom stone cottage, so it's just for two people. You can bring a dog.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but it's old. The walls are thick stone, and there are beams. There's a woodburner for winter evenings. The stairs are a spiral staircase. They're quite tight.

The bathroom is ensuite, which is handy. There's a washing machine, and the bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.

There's a pub and a village shop a few minutes' walk away. The pub does food.

Cheddar is about a mile and a half down the road. That's where the gorge and caves are. Wells is about five miles, which is where the cathedral is. Glastonbury is eleven miles. If you're driving, Bath and Bristol are both under an hour away.

For walking, you're right by the Mendip Hills. The Somerset Levels are flat and good for birds. If you want to plan trips, these sites are useful: National Trust Somerset, Mendip Hills AONB, and Visit Somerset.
