Maxmills Cottage

Maxmills Cottage is one of four on our working farm. It's the one attached to our house. It's quiet here, down in the Mendip valley. You'll see a lot of birds and that.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not a show home. You've got everything you need.

Out the back there's a patio and a garden that's just for you. It gets the sun in the evening. Inside, there's a woodburning stove, which is good for cooler nights. We've got a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's WiFi, but it's a farm, so the signal can be patchy sometimes.

The farm track to get here is a bit bumpy. It’s fine for normal cars, you just go slow.

The nearest shop and pub are in Axbridge, about two miles away. It's a pleasant walk across the fields if you don't mind a stile or two. There's a games room in one of the old stables that all the guests can use.

Cheddar Gorge is very close, maybe ten minutes by car. It's good for a walk and the caves. Wells Cathedral is about twenty minutes away. Bath is further, maybe forty-five minutes, but it's a straightforward drive if you fancy a day out. The beach at Weston-super-Mare is twenty minutes in the other direction.

We've got parking right outside the cottage. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
